Established in 1996 under Americans INDYCAR is one of the leading organizations to authorized for championship auto racing. Four Race series had been approved by INDYCAR which includes INDYCAR series, INDY lights, The Pro Mazda championship and the U.S. F2000 National Championship.
Hulman & Company are the owners of INDYCAR who also happens to own the Clabber Girl and Indianapolis Motor Speedway complex. At first the race totally consisted of oval tracks but gradually the series shifted from its original oval tracks to one- third ovals and the rest on street and road circuits. INDYCAR is the first racing series to introduce the safer soft wall safety system and this system is sponsored by Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Hulman-George group.
