The American Motorsports Club and Iowa Speedway jointly announced a new Shore Lunch brand which will sponsor the ARCA Menards series this year. The Shore Lunch 150 ARCA Series will start on 18 July 2020. At first, the competition original scheduled date was 17 July, but now it will happen on Saturday afternoon as part of the NTT IndyCar series doubleheader.
The ARCA Menards Series Shore Lunch 150 will be a piece of the debut ARCA Sioux Chief Showdown, a 10-race series set to draw in the top groups in the ARCA Menards Series East and West to contend with the regulars of the ARCA Menards Series.
A one Year ago NASCAR bought the ARCA Menards series, since then ARCA and NASCAR worked steadily to build up an energizing new rivalry system for 2020 and past. The evolution of the ARCA Menards series will set up the series as the highest level of basic professional racing designed to bridge the gap between weekly racing and professional national touring series and intends to protect the historical short-track pedigree of these two series, which can be traced back to 60 years ago.
The first race was held as a 250–lap race in 2006, but it reduced to 200 laps in 2009. The race length decreased to 150 laps again in 2013.
Shore Lunch 150 first time play in Iowa for the ARCA Menards series in the 2020 season. The yearly race for national boasting rights will be the eighteenth East-West combination event on the Iowa Speedway. Past ARCA champs include recent NASCAR Cup Series drivers, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Cole Custer, Chase Elliott, and Corey Lajoie.
